SELLER DESCRIPTION
A six-shot revolver chambered in 45 ACP, this Colt Model 1917 or DA 45 is made appropriate for self-defense and equally well-suited for collectors and military enthusiasts, the Model 1917 was adopted by the U.S. Army at its introduction as a supplemental sidearm to the 1911, as there were not enough 1911s to meet the militaries need. This firearm model was pressed into service in 1917 during WWI and then again during WWII when the Allied forces needed every gun they could get their hands on.
There is wear and pitting present on the finish.
