Hiking packs, waders, flight suits, and ski pants are just a few of the things that limit one’s ability to carry in traditional, belt mounted locations. In these instances, the user often stores the gun in their bag and hope they can reach it, if it’s needed. Clearly, this is a less than ideal solution as off body carry is slow and prone to complications with the drawstroke. Chest carry has long been a popular solution when belt carry isn’t an option, but traditional chest holsters are bulky, cumbersome and leave the user frustrated and fatigued. The BlackPoint outback light mounted chest system’s sleek design and lightweight materials allow the user to comfortably wear it for the duration of their adventure. The light mounted version of this holster allows the wearer to also carry their favorite light or laser on their pistol as well. The Outback light mounted chest system is constructed using a hand crafted, BlackPoint Kydex holster shell and a fully adjustable harness system. This yields a low profile, robust chest carry option. Utilizing the adjustable, light-weight, and extremely tough harness built by blue force gear, the Outback provides for comfortable carry without sacrificing access or strength. The harness is made from blue force gear’s proprietary Ultracomp material which exceeds all US Military standards for tear and abrasion resistance. The harness has a three strap system each with a specific function. The dynamic bungee strap provides flexibility for movement and breathing without compromising the draw. The static buckle strap makes for easy on/off while providing an anchor point to draw the pistol against. The Shoulder Strap provides for height adjustment of the system while bearing most of the weight of the pistol. The holster has adjustable retention and mounting attachments on all 4 sides so the angle of the holster can be easily adjusted by the end user.
